Commuters travelling on a highway in the jurisdiction of Samta Nagar police station faced traffic jam as a tanker (MH-48/T-7521) toppled at around 11 am on Friday.
On getting information about the accident, police immediately reached the spot along with a crane and moved the tanker. Senior police inspector Dilip Yadav informed that the driver Rajan Pitambardas Bharati (25) was heading towards Silvasa in Gujarat when he lost control on the steering wheel and it resulted in tumbling of the vehicle. Police have registered a case against tanker driver under relevant section of the law and he was admitted in Shatabdi hospital for treatment.
