On Tuesday, police found two dead bodies, one near Juhu beach and another at Versova beach. The police have handed over the dead bodies to their families and are investigating the cause of death.
What's the story?
On Tuesday, 17-year-old Nasreen Shaikh and 19-year-old Fazal had gone to Versova beach with two other friends but later they both went missing. Next day, the Fazal's dead body was recovered from the beach on Wednesday.
On the same day, around 1:00 pm, the police found the Nasreen's body at Juhu Beach. Later, they learned about the missing complaint filed by the girl’s uncle, when she didn’t come home.
As per the police investigation, both knew each other and visited Versova beach with their friends. A senior police official said that on a fateful day, deceased Nasreen and Fazal's friends, Shivani and Faizan left the beach around 3:00 pm but the former stayed back.
The Juhu and Versova police have registered an Accidental Death Reports in both the cases.
