A 22-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from the 11th floor of a building in Rahul Nagar area near Umeshnagar in Dombivli West on Saturday afternoon. It is believed that the young man committed suicide after an argument with his girlfriend. However, according to the information provided by the family to the police and the information received from the police, the young man committed suicide in anger due to his hot-tempered nature.

The deceased youth has been identified as Rishikesh Charudatta Parab (22). He lived with his family on the sixth floor of Sudama Residency building in Rahulnagar.  On Saturday afternoon, Rishikesh Parab, angry over an argument over some reason, went into the duct (inner box) on the eleventh floor of the building and sat down. He remained there for a long time, leaning on the duct's railing. Since there was a possibility of him causing harm to his life, the family members informed the Kalyan Dombivali Municipality Fire Department and Vishnunagar Police about this information.

The police had made strong efforts to save Rishikesh Parab by resorting to conciliatory measures. They were appealing to him to come down from the building's duct without doing anything. All attempts by family members and the police to convince him were futile.

If they tried to reach him and grab him and pull him down, he would likely jump off the cliff. Therefore, the firefighters and police, in coordination, tried to change his mind and pull him down. Realising that all the mechanisms were ready below to save him, Rishikesh Parab came to the outside of the building from the duct. He grabbed the ledge there and started swinging off the building. Seeing this, the people present were shocked.

The police and firefighters tried their best to save him. He was not afraid of anyone. While hanging from the edge of the building, he released both his hands and jumped towards the ground. He was immediately taken to the municipal Shastri Nagar Hospital. He suffered serious injuries. There, the doctors declared him dead.

Local residents and police were expressing the possibility that he had taken this extreme step due to an argument over a mobile phone with his girlfriend. Now, Rishikesh's brother Santosh Parab has filed a complaint at Vishnunagar police station. In this complaint, Rishikesh was of a hot-tempered nature. It is said that he committed this act.

The information in the complaint at the police station is that in 2018, Rishikesh was studying in class XI at South Indian College in Dombivali. He failed in class XI. Therefore, in a fit of anger, Rishikesh left Dombivali and went to his village of Achra in Sindhudurg district. Two years ago, Rishikesh had drunk phenol in a fit of anger. He was saved by immediate treatment. He was very hot-tempered. The complaint states that he committed this act in the heat of his temper. The police have registered a case of accidental death in this case.
