The Maharashtra government has authorised the development of ten key historical, religious, and tourism destinations in the state.
This decision comes as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly elections. These projects had received administrative approval last year, but the necessary funds were not allocated.
The total cost of these developments is INR 1,213.44 crore. The administration issued the necessary orders on June 21. There will be quick implementation of these plans. The goal is to improve local economies through these.
The approved destinations and their allocated budgets are as follows:
1. Aundha Nagnath Temple in Hingoli: INR 15.21 crore
2. Tiger’s Point and Lion’s Point in Maval: INR 333.56 crore
3. Malojiraje Gadhi and Hazrat Chandshah Baba Dargah: INR 37.28 crore
4. Hutatma Shivram Hari Rajguru's birthplace in Khed: INR 102.48 crore
5. Rajmata Saibai Memorial in Velhe: INR 29.73 crore
6. Santaji Jagnade Maharaj Mausoleum beautification: INR 66.11 crore
7. Saptashrungi Devi pilgrimage in Nashik: INR 81.86 crore
8. Pathri pilgrimage: INR 91.80 crore
9. Pratapgad Fort conservation and Koyna river tourism in Satara: INR 381.56 crore
10. Pandharpur Temple: INR 73.85 crore.
The ruling Mahayuti alliance may highlight these development plans in their campaign for the state elections. Carrying out these projects may make voters more supportive of the government.
