Working strongly towards an aim to release 72 shows by 2020, the team at Zee5 has kept up the promise by delivering new shows back to back, on the popular OTT channel. After announcing their recent releases, Comedy Shots, SkyFire and Kaafir, the team is now all set to release their first sports drama, Bombers.
Starring Varun Mitra, Ranvir Shorey, Sapna Pabbi, Prince Narula, Zakir Hussain, Anuup Sonii and others, the show revolves around the story of the football league, Bombers FC and their journey to victory. The launch of the show was recently held in Mumbai, where the cast of the show was present along with football superstar Sunil Chhetri and Oscar Foundation.
Talking about the same, one of the lead actors of the show, Varun Mitra said, "The show is about football and a team of people who struggle and fight towards what they want to become. To sum it up, the show defines the pain behind the glory."
Adding to the shows, the producer of Bombers said, "We couldn't have been more privileged to have Mr. Chettri along with us. Today everyone is into football and it has grown with time. Sports unifies everyone, and so does our show, which is about different places, cultures and alternative lifestyles. We focus on how everyone unites with football."
The writer of the show, Vishal, further added, "The journey has been amazing. I came on board and had the responsibility to develop it. Today, when I look back at the first few days of work and compare it to the current date, I'm very happy with the way it has turned out, and that is because of the team. Everyone has given their best and the outcome is fantastic."
Along with releasing the trailer of Bombers, Zee5 also associated with Oscar Foundation also sponsored education and training opportunities to children under 12 years of age. Kids between the age of 7-16 will also be enrolled under special training programs.
