Students handed a breather as admission dates get postponed

Students aspiring to pursue law have some space to breathe as the university decides to be a bit considerate.

The date of admission has been extended to August 31. However, the CET Commissioner said in the court that it won’t go beyond this extended date.

Earlier, the deadline was August 5 but as the results weren’t declared, the deadline was pushed further ahead. Earlier it was extended till August 18 followed by August 24. However, now the final deadline is the last day of this month.

After the University has been slacking in declaring results, many students had approached the High Court. The petitioner demanded compensation of up to INR 10,00,000.

The court has ordered the State Government to give full details of how many answer sheets were examined till August 24.
