The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has conducted the written examinations for the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class XII) and the Secondary School Certificate (Class X) between February and March 2026. The Mumbai Divisional Secretary of the Board stated that the Education Board is fully prepared to run a copy-free (cheating-free) campaign during these examinations.
The Class XII written examinations were held from 10 February to 18 March 2026, while the Class X examinations were conducted from 20 February to 18 March 2026. The Education Board has issued instructions to all principals and headmasters to ensure the implementation of a copy-free campaign during the examinations. CCTV cameras have been made mandatory in every classroom.
A vigilance committee has been formed and flying squads have been appointed for the examinations. The Board also informed that students have been given guidelines on how to appear for exams in a fear-free environment, along with clear instructions on what to do and what not to do during the examination.
