The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has announced the launch of its first undergraduate programme, marking a major step in expanding its academic portfolio.
The institute will introduce a four-year Bachelor of Science programme in Digital Science and Business Management from the upcoming academic year. The course will be conducted at its Mumbai campus.
The programme will have an initial intake of around 70 students. Admissions are expected to be based on JEE Main scores, followed by a personal interview.
Designed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the course will integrate emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning and the Internet of Things with core management disciplines including finance, marketing and operations.
Officials said the programme aims to develop industry-ready professionals with a blend of technical and managerial skills. Students completing the course will also have the option to pursue a one-year MBA at the institute.
The move comes as IIM Mumbai continues to expand its academic offerings following its transition from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) to an IIM, reflecting a broader trend among premier management institutes to enter undergraduate education.
