The Third Semester Examination of the Post Graduate Second Year Management Course (SYMMS) of the Institute of Distance and Open Studies (IDOL) of the University of Mumbai was scheduled to be held from June 8 to 17. But due to insufficient study materials and the examination being held during working days, the students along with the Yuva Sena demanded that the examination be postponed and held on holidays. In this background, it was clarified from IDOL that the said examination will be postponed for some technical reasons and will start from June 29.
Thousands of students are studying in IDOL while maintaining their education. A management course was started recently in the academic year 2021-22. Due to lack of study materials, students are facing difficulties while studying for the exam, and due to conducting the exam during the working days, there was a fear among the students that the job will be affected. This is why they demanded to postpone the exam. The examination time and examination centre will remain as before and the revised detailed time table for the examination starting from 29th June will be released soon on the official website https://mu.ac.in/distance-open-learning.
