The state government recently announced the reservation for the Maratha community in the state, which has brought relief to many. Following this, officials have now decided to offer more to the much-deserving students of the community.
As per recent development, the government has now decided to provide free UPSC coaching for the students from the community. The process will include the selection of 225 Maratha students who will receive free coaching in Delhi for Civil Services and IAS examinations.
The government has allotted a total of ₹4.03 lakh per student which will purely focus on coaching, and will also give a stipend of ₹13,000 per month to a student. A 16 per cent reservation has already been announced for people Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) category who will receive assistance with coaching and jobs.
Besides this, the government has also decided to offer a loan of ₹10 Lakhs with reimbursed interest for the youth from the community. Officials expect to provide the same to around 10,000 youth every year, which will possibly generate 50,000 jobs for the ones belonging to the community.
