Private schools in Maharashtra will now have aided teachers recruited by the state government. In a recent announcement, officials said the recruitment will be done in May every year. This decision of recruitment is a great news for the young teachers of the state whereas it comes as a shocker for the education sector as several minority schools have been excluded from the process.
This recruitment drive of the teachers will be conducted through the web portal, “Pavitra”. The state government had taken the decision earlier but due to some obstacles, it was ceased and was never implemented with the changes. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad at the district level and the municipal commissioner in the corporation will complete the recruitment process.
The government will also have absolute control over the recruitment and the decision making power to offer the job at different locations. Depending upon their intelligence, the teachers will be posted at aided, unaided and subsidised schools.
