Municipal schools now will begin their day with suryanamaskar and yoga. This proposal which was put by BJP was supported by Shivsena but was denied by Samajawadi party. SP party’s Raees Sheikh stressed on the communal issue stating, if suryanamaskar is made compulsory in schools, then Muslim parents will withdraw their pupil’s admission. He further added that, they will start the trend of greeting “As-Salaam - Alaikum” as well in schools
