I was so involved in direction that there was a phase when I didn't want to act : Avika Gor

The chirpy actress of tinsel town Avika Gor says there was a phase where she wanted to focus on direction and quit acting.

The actress who came to fame as Roli of Sasural Simar Ka had taken a break from small screen as she had to explore something new and not because she wasn't getting offers.

"There were a few (shows that I turned down) because I was not ready to come back to TV. That was the biggest reason and not because the stories were bad. I had taken a break for a reason... to focus on filmmaking studies and making films. I was also traveling for festivals. I wanted to find out whether I wanted to act or not. I was so involved in the direction that at one point in time I said 'I don't want to act. I am a director'. Now, I think that I can do both,” shares the actress during a media interaction.

Last year Avika Gor and her Sasural Simar Ka co-star Manish Raisinghani together popularly known as ‘Rosid’ had launched the poster of their short movie Ankahee Baatein at the 69th Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Corner.Currently, Avika is seen playing the character of a law student in Colors TV show Laado - Veerpur Ki Mardaani.
