Dance India Dance 6 winner: Sanket Gaonkar wins the title of Zee TV's dance show

It's finale day for Zee TV’s most popular dance reality shows Dance India Dance. Sanket Gaonkar has won the ‘Sunheri Topi’ of DID season 6. Sanket was from master Mini’s team ‘Mini Ke Masterblaster’, he used to mesmerize everyone on set with his unique and flawless style of dancing.

Talking exclusively with Mumbai Live Sanket mentioned, “I am very happy, I have struggled for four years to achieve this golden hat, finally my hard work has paid off. When my name was announced I was thrilled and started dancing with joy. Earlier, I had watched Mithun Da bestowing Salman sir, Shakti Ma’am, Pronita the hat and today I am living that moment. This will always remain the best memory of my life.”

Sanket Gaonkar has presented the Dance India Dance trophy crowning him as the ultimate dance superstar along with a cash prize of Rs.5 lakhs. Finalists Sachin Sharma and Piyush Gurbhele were announced as the first and second runners-up respectively and were also awarded cash prizes to celebrate their journey and achievements on the show.

 

The winner of Dance India Dance season 6 hails from Ankola, Karnataka. Before DID, Sanket had also won ETV Telugu's Dhee Jodi dance show. If you’ll remember Sanket was the first performer to impress all the three mentors with his perfect stances and ground-breaking steps on Kurban Hua song during the auditions of this season.

Along with Grandmaster, Mithun Chakraborty Mudassar Khan, Marzi Pestonji and Mini Pradhan were mentors of DID season 6.The season was hosted by actress Amruta Khanvilkar and Sahil Khattar.
