Mumbai’s iconic Bharatmata Cinema is getting a revival. During the Diwali festival, Bharatmata Cinema will be launched in collaboration with 'Mukta A2 Cinemas'. Bharatmata Cinema was completely shut down during the Corona period.
Three months duration for completion of works
Arrangement of documents required to reopen Bharatmata Cinema is in progress. Various necessary permissions are being taken. The renovation work of Bharatmata Cinema has been completed. Kapil Bhopatkar, managing partner of Bharatmata, informed the media that other works may take 3 months to complete.

Renovation of Bharatmata Cinema
It has been informed that the plaster work of Bharatmata cinema hall has been completed. It is said that the chairs, flooring, paint, AC, sound system and other works in the theatre will be done in these 3 months. However, no major changes will be made to the original architecture of the cinema. It has been informed that the uniqueness of Bharatmata, which is in the list of heritage structures, will be preserved.
