Kannada films took the box office by storm last year. 'KGF Chapter 1 and 2' and Rishabh Shetty's 'Kantara' have been blockbusters at the box office. Made on a budget of 16 crores, 'Kantara' earned more than 400 crores worldwide. The first look of the sequel of the film was released recently. Ever since the announcement of this second part, the audience was eagerly waiting for this film.
Rishabh Shetty has been given a Special Jury Award for 'Kantara' at the recently ongoing '54th International Film Festival'. Not only this, Rishabh Shetty's 'Kantara' has become the first Kannada film to win an award at 'IFFI'. The makers of the film have also informed people by sharing a post in this regard.

Rishabh Shetty recently attended 'IFFI 2023'. While interacting with the media at that time, he said, “Kantara was a film connected to our roots, that's why it made people feel like us. The level the film is at today is solely because of the Indian audience.” Along with this, Rishabh Shetty also commented that currently regional films are reaching the world breaking language barriers and are being noticed.
