Tinsel town’s well-known actress Dipika Kakar who rose to fame for her stint in Sasural Simar Ka is all set to make her Bollywood debut with popular filmmaker J.P. Dutta’s war film Paltan. The film also features Suniel Shetty, Sonu Sood, Rana Daggubati, Pulkit Samrat, Siddhanth Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Gurmeet Choudhary.
Posting a picture on Twitter profile Dipika wrote, “What better could I ask for than being a part of a #JPDuttaFilm as my first one!! Such an honour to join the #Paltan”
Dipika Kakar would be one of the three leading ladies amongst Esha Gupta and Monica Gill. Esha will essay the character of Arjun Rampal’s wife and Monica will be Harshvardhan Rane’s love interest. Similar to J.P. Dutta’s previous war films like LOC Kargil and Border, Paltan will also focus more on the personal relationships formed within a regiment.
