IMD Issues Warning for Unseasonal Rain and Thunderstorms Across Maharashtra

The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning about changing weather conditions across Maharashtra, particularly in regions like Vidarbha.

According to the forecast, several districts are expected to experience unseasonal rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusty winds. In some areas, especially in Vidarbha, there is also a possibility of hailstorms, which could significantly impact agriculture by damaging standing crops.

These sudden weather changes are being attributed to atmospheric instability, and residents are advised to remain cautious, avoid open areas during lightning, and secure loose objects due to strong winds.

Meanwhile, Mumbai is likely to witness mostly cloudy skies with chances of light rainfall, but no severe warnings have been issued for the city. Overall, authorities urge people, particularly farmers and those in vulnerable regions, to stay updated with official advisories and take necessary precautions.
