Being the busiest city where people are always rushing to achieve their monthly targets, or engaged in a fight with the traffic to reach their destination, it is indeed hectic and stressful to stay in Mumbai. The only thought that keeps them going is that maybe the weekend will help them relax and get ready for the grind of the coming week. Many people try and make the most of the long weekend to take a breather. One such long weekend is around the corner with Holi falling on March 29 this year. To help plan better for this and any long weekend, we have put together a list of a few stunning offbeat destinations. They will not only provide a great place to rejuvenate but also not put a hole through your pocket.

Murud: Situated in the winding lanes of a small fishing village named Nandgaon in Murud Taluka, Raigad, this beach house is rustic, homely, and provides just the escape everyone needs. There are four huge bedrooms and the villa can accommodate as many as eight to 10 guests. Each room offers the ocean's view with coconut trees dotting the shore.

Nashik: A vineyard in Nashik has created a Barrel House in Soma Vine Village, where wine lovers can stay inside a life-size wine barrel! Nashik in Maharashtra is renowned for its vineyards. Nearly 90 per cent of the wine created in the country comes from Nashik, which makes it the wine capital of India. The property already had three champagne villas, and now they have a Barrel House on offer too. All the villas are gorgeous and feature a private infinity pool. The bedrooms offer some stunning views of the vineyard around.

Nagaon Beach: Right at the Nagaon beach, located in Navi Mumbai, was this gorgeous palm fingered resort coupled with shelter providing a refreshing sea breeze with an island-like view. The unique villa, a secluded beach resort called Hotel Uran Plaza, looks supremely unique and is shaped in a hyperbola-shaped structure. This place is just 2-3 hours away from Mumbai and a perfect getaway with family or friends.

Lavasa: This is the place that will remind you how your life should be -- tranquil. Calvin is the ideal holiday getaway for large families or group of friends. It is located on a hilltop with amazing views of Lavasa lake and the main city. The guests have access to the entire villa and the extended garden area as they ensure you have a comfortable stay. Tarkali: Tarkarli is a part of the Malvan town, on the Konkan coastline, blessed with the most beautiful beaches in India. It is also famous for its Malvani cuisine with delicacies such as the ambavadi (a type of barfi with mango pulp), fanaspoli (sweet jackfruit leather), khaja (jaggery dessert), and Malvani fish curry. It also offers a range of water sports such as snorkeling, boating, kayaking, scuba diving, etc.

Waterfront Villa, is a wonderful beach house with tall coconut trees for a two-three days stay. The house has a private entrance to the beach and the way is well-lit from the garden through to the front door. The Villa offers a good view with a budget-friendly and memorable stay.
