Like every year, this year too, Mumbaikars thronged the Lalbaug Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal and on the very first day, devotees donated crores of rupees. Along with this, the Ambani family donated a crown weighing around 20 kg which is worth 16 crore rupees.
The Lalbaug Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal has been counting the donations collected on the first day. Initially, the cash in the box will be counted, followed by the gold and silver ornaments offered by the devotees.

This year too, Ganesh devotees have donated crores of rupees in the donation box of Lalbaug Mandal on the very first day. It also includes cash, gold and silver coins. Gold idols, silver necklaces, currency necklaces are offered. Cash also includes some foreign currency notes.
