Wadhwa Wise City installs a 15-feet-tall 'Modern Day Ravana' this Dussehra

Made uniquely from bamboos and other eco-friendly material by artists from the J. J. School of Arts, the Wadhwa Wise City has installed the 15-feet tall 'Modern Day Ravana' at its Panvel site that is attracting thousands of people from Panvel, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai.

As Dussehra symbolises good over the evil, this Modern Day Ravana is shown with nine heads depicting nine evils. The Ravana effigy will be burnt on the Dussehra day.

These nine evils are 'Noise and Air Pollution' which has deprived people of clean air, 'Usage of Polythene Bags', which are hazardous to human and ecology, 'Lifestyle Diseases' such as obesity that need to be overcome, 'Stress', which is mounting up and needs to be overcome, 'Poor Infrastructure' leading to accidents on bad roads is another evil to end, 'Addiction' such as technology, which is taking a mental toll, 'Lack of Open Spaces', which are depriving people of fair life, 'Congestion' of traffic leading to loss of precious man-hours and 'Unsafe Environment' for women, children, all are evils that need to end.
