Slab collapses at KEM Hospital injuring three staff workers

On Thursday evening, a slab collapsed at Parel’s KEM Hospital injuring three workers who are now recuperating in the same hospital. 

KEM staff workers, Prashant Ghadigaonkar (40), Pravin Parmar (42) and Anil Harijan (29) completed their 7:00 am to 3:00 pm shift and were waiting for the lift in the old KEM building’s third floor, ward no. 4. Suddenly, a plaster near the lift collapsed on the trio.

We have performed a CT scan on all three staff workers. Of three, Ghadigaonkar suffered a head injury and received six stitches. While other two, Parmar and Harijan, got away with minor injuries. All three are now admitted to KEM Hospital and are recuperating,” Dr Avinash Supe, Dean, KEM Hospital.
