Mumbai- Ambulances with blaring sirens stuck in Mumbai traffic could soon be a thing of the past.

The BMC is planning to introduce air ambulances to help injured citizens reach hospitals in time, says assistant municipal commissioner I A Kundan. Last year, Mumbai lost three fire brigade officers in a Kalbadevi fire because they could not receive medical help on time. The air ambulances will help such patients reach the Navi Mumbai hospital in time. Along with this, special facilities will also be provided to the burns ward at Sion Hospital which will help the patients in case of emergency.
