Other than Dengue & Malaria, now Leptospirosis is making rounds in Mumbai city. BMC’s Health department has come up with statistics which clearly states that Leptospirosis is also sneaking in. In the month of August, 1,670 dengue cases were found. Seeing the surge in the said disease, Kurla’s BMC officials surveyed houses in Kurla area. During this inspection, they found out 36 patients of leptospirosis. These patients are now admitted to nearby civic hospital. Civic officials have asked residents to take care of themselves.
