Deputy Chief Minister Shinde has directed the launch of a health screening campaign for women in municipal hospitals across the state. The initiative aims to raise awareness about breast and cervical cancer, focusing on prevention rather than treatment. He emphasised the importance of early detection and preventive care for women’s health.

To ensure the effectiveness of healthcare services, the Deputy Chief Minister also stated that the Health Minister and Health Secretary will conduct surprise inspections at health centers throughout the state. These visits will assess the availability of essential medicines, medical equipment, and overall infrastructure conditions.
