State medical education minister Girish Mahajan has ordered MARD doctors to call off their strike or lose six months salary.

It has been three days since resident doctors are  on strike demanding more security guards and CCTV in the premises of the hospitals. However, due to the strike, patients are suffering the most.

“We have decided to appoint 1100 security guards in the hospital. By 30 April, we will deploy 500 security guards and in next 15 days, we will deploy the remaining. We have put up the proposal, yet doctors are not calling off their strike. If this continues, as a last resort we will cut off 6 months salary,” said Girish Mahajan.
