Resident Doctors to go on an indefinite strike across Maharashtra

After being repeatedly ignored by the Maharashtra government regarding their demands, resident doctors have decided to go on an indefinite strike from August 7. Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) has decided to discontinue emergency medical care and service across the state. 

Despite several complaints, the doctors informed, the state government is ignoring the problems they are facing. The resident doctors said that they can't rely on just promises and have no other option but to go on a strike. The doctors have warned that their strike will continue until their demands are met.

During their strike, the emergency medical facility will remain shut. Moreover, the doctors have informed that they don’t get salaries on time while working in government hospitals. MARD has demanded that resident doctors with tuberculosis and female doctors during pregnancy should get leaves.
