The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fractal Analytics Limited to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered healthcare initiative aimed at strengthening the city's public health services.

The agreement was signed in the presence of BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide as part of the civic body's technology-driven efforts to improve healthcare delivery.

Under the initiative, the AI-based platform, Vaidya AI, will be deployed on a pilot basis across BMC's healthcare system. The platform is designed to enhance communication with citizens, provide support for preliminary medical guidance, enable multilingual interactions, and assist hospital administrators in improving operational efficiency.

The civic body said the pilot project will help evaluate the platform's potential to streamline healthcare services and enhance patient engagement through AI-driven solutions.
