Mumbai: Sewri tuberculosis hospital to get 10 new intensive care beds

Every year, thousands of patients seek treatment at Sewri’s Tuberculosis Hospital. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is taking various measures to provide better facilities to these patients. As a part of it, 10 new state-of-the-art intensive care beds (ICU beds) have been made available at Sewri TB Hospital. The administration is claiming that it will benefit tuberculosis patients.

Many tuberculosis patients across the state including Mumbai come for treatment at BMC Tuberculosis Hospital. The civic body has emphasised on improving the health services so that these patients get better facilities. As a part of it, 10 intensive care beds (ICU beds) have been prepared at the tuberculosis hospital. Intensive care beds can also be used for children, said Dr. Mangala Gomare, executive Health Officer of Health Department of BMC.
