Navi Mumbai: One Suspected Dengue Death Reported in Uran's Chanje Area

A dengue outbreak has been reported in the Chanje Gram Panchayat area of Uran in Navi Mumbai, with one suspected patient death, raising concerns among residents and prompting health department action.

According to local reports, the outbreak has affected several residents in the area, with multiple people showing dengue-like symptoms and undergoing treatment. Officials have confirmed that preventive measures, including fogging and sanitation drives, have been initiated to control the spread of the disease. 

Health authorities said the situation is being closely monitored, and medical teams have been deployed in the affected locality. The suspected death is currently awaiting official confirmation after laboratory reports.

Residents have alleged that poor sanitation, stagnant water, and inadequate drainage management in the area have contributed to the breeding of mosquitoes, leading to the outbreak. Local bodies have been urged to step up cleaning operations and remove waste accumulation to prevent further cases. 

Officials have appealed to citizens to take precautions such as avoiding water stagnation, using mosquito protection measures, and seeking early medical attention in case of symptoms like high fever, body pain, and rashes.

The health department has assured that containment efforts are underway to prevent the spread of dengue in Uran and surrounding areas.
