In an attempt to promote the implementation of better healthcare across hospitals in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated various hospitals on the occasion of completion of one year of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Amongst the various medical institutes, two Mumbai hospitals, JJ Hospital and Tata Cancer Hospital, were felicitated by PM Modi.
The Ayushman Bharat Scheme or the National Health Protection Scheme was launched keeping in mind, every patient despite their economic background, must receive proper medical care.

The anniversary event was held at Science Center, Delhi. Alongside, the ailments which were not included in the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana were taken under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Accordingly, it is being expected that due to this, the scheme will receive a better response and more people will be benefitted from the program.
Meanwhile, Pallavi Saple, who is the JJ Hospital Dean, was present during the event. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi also launched a mobile application for the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
