Mumbai - An attempt to stage a rail roko on the tracks near the Dombivli railway station was foiled by alert Central Railway officials on Thursday morning.
The CR traffic was unaffected due to the alert action taken by the Central Railway authorities, it is learnt. The Kalyan Dombivli municipal corporation had taken action against a settlement near the tracks extending between Dombivli and Kopar. The news agitated the residents of this settlement, who attempted to disrupt CR traffic by staging a rail roko. They were however immediately removed from the tracks by CR officials, ensuring that Mumbai bound traffic during office hours was not affected.
