Owing to heavy rainfall on Tuesday, August 29, the city came to standstill. Many lost lives while some went missing. Not only residents but patients too suffered due to the torrential rains.

After heavy rainfall battered the city, one of the X-Ray machines in KEM Hospital, Parel, stopped working. This left patients in lurch who had to leave without doing an X-Ray. Currently, only one X-Ray machine is working which is falling short as compared to the number of patients visiting the hospital, informed Dr. Deshmukh chief of X-Ray Department, KEM hospital.

In total, there are three X-Ray machines, out of which, only two were working. Dr. Deshmukh added that in next 15 days, the machine will start working. As only one X-Ray machine is working, it is being used only for emergency cases.
