The new 900-bed civic hospital in Thane will be well-equipped with modern technology and a helipad.
The hospital will be located in the Tembhi Naka area. It will feature a 10-storey building equipped with modern infrastructure.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday, April 14, said that the hospital is set to provide modern healthcare facilities and significantly improve access to medical services.
He described the project as a major benefit for ordinary citizens seeking quality treatment.
A key highlight of the facility is a rooftop helipad, which will enable air ambulance services for emergency cases, officials said.
According to officials, the hospital will be fitted with advanced medical equipment, including MRI, CT scan machines, chemotherapy and radiotherapy units
Electrification work and installation of equipment are currently in progress, while the main construction has already been completed.
Thane District Civil Surgeon Dr Kailas Pawar said the hospital will include parking for around 450 cars and 1,200 two-wheelers.
The facility is expected to serve not only Thane but also patients from nearby Palghar district in Maharashtra.
Officials have indicated that the hospital is likely to become operational within the next three to four months, with an inauguration expected shortly after final preparations are completed.
