Mumbai - 8 compartment metro will run instead of 6 compartment metro in the 33.5 km long corridor stretching across Colaba - Bandra - Seepz. Mumbai Metro Corporation took the decision, informed R Ramanna, Executive Director Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC).
As per the Metro3 scheme, 35 trains were scheduled to run underground. The project of Metro3 will be completed by 2021. The metro will have the seating capacity of 2,400 passengers.
