Aaditya Thackeray meets officials to review project related to the development of Mithi River

Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District, Aaditya Thackeray, on Wednesday, October 20, reviewed various development works including Mithi River Development Project, Mahim Causeway Link Road, Senapati Bapat Road to Western Expressway Link Road with MMRDA, Mumbai Municipal Corporation and District Collector's Office.

The meeting was held at the MMRDA office, in the presence of Dr Rajiv, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner KH Govindraj, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner P Velarasu, Sanjeev Jaiswal, Mumbai City District Collector Rajiv Nivatkar and other senior officials.

Discussions were held on the revival of Mithi river as well as sustainable development of the river, and officials also discussed the construction of a walkway around the Mithi river. Aaditya Thackeray suggested that information should be submitted considering its feasibility.

Besides this, the work on the link road between Senapati Bapat Marg and Western Express Highway was also discussed, whereby the also reviewed the work of Mahim Causeway Link Road. Officials also discussed ways to transfer the responsibility of Mangroves to the forest department for better conservation.

Other projects being implemented by MMRDA were also discussed, basis which he said that all the work will be expedited soon, and another meeting will be held regarding the matter. He further instructed that all the agencies like MMRDA, Municipal Corporation etc. should work in coordination and to speed up the pending works.
