BMC public toilets charge women, senior citizens for using the pay and use toilets but soon BMC may take the decision that senior citizens will not be charged for using the public toilets.
According to the BMC officials, it would not affect in any way if the public toilets will be made free for the senior citizens. The number of people using public toilets has gone down due to their worst conditions.
BMC is not benefiting from the pay and uses public toilets. Even BMC Commissioner, Ajoy Mehta has agreed to this proposal.
Deputy Mayor, Hemangi Worlikar has kept this proposal before BMC and the decision is expected soon.
