Metro-6 project will now be handled by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation

After handing over the Dahisar to D N Nagar Metro-2 A project to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has handed over Metro-6 (Swami Samarth Nagar-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli) to DMRC. 

On Tuesday, both the companies signed for the same, confirmed Pravin Darade, the Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA. 

DMRC will be completely in control 

According to the agreement, DMRC will be handling the whole project, right from inviting tenders to hiring advisors. Darade said that tenders regarding machines will also be invited by DMRC.

Car depot will be at Kanjur Marg

The metro-6 project is worth ₹5,490 Cr which comprises of 13 stations and the car depot will come up at Kanjur Marg.
