Mumbaikars still have to wait for cool breezy commute by locals .though the AC local trains have arrived in Mumbai since April.They have not yet been tested.The tests for these trains will begin post-Diwali .They will pass through more than 30 tests. Which will happen on Kalyan -Karjat and Kasara -Kurla routes .The total cost of building these trains in India is around 54 crores rs.
