Mumbai - Laxmi-Kuber pooja is performed on Ashvin Amavasya. This year, one should perform the pooja on 30 October during 6.05 pm to 8.36 pm. On this day, one draws rangoli outside the home. As per the Hindu tradition, it is believed that goddess Laxmi travels in night in search of a home to stay. She gets attracted to homes which are neat and clean, where residents give importance to virtues like honesty and perseverance.
