Mahim - Another iconic establishment bites the dust due to development in the city. The iconic Crown bakery at Mahim pulled down its shutters on last day of 2016. As the land on which the bakery stands, will fall prey to MMRDA metro line 3 project connecting Colaba to Seepz. The bakery was here since 1953 and is famous for its bread baked without preservatives. We talked to Rajendra Nagle, a loyal patron of this bakery.
