In order to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) away from power, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar is trying all his best to bring all opposition parties on the same front. Samvidhan Bachao rally was a part of his plan. Where right from Congress to NCP party leaders all were present at the rally, Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh’s Dr. Prakash Ambedkar did not participate. On Sunday, Ambedkar clarified his reason for not joining the Samvidhan Bachao rally.
Sharad Pawar is a casteist and hence I did not join the rally,” Dr Prakash Ambedkar, Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh.
Ambedkar alleged that Pawar is trying to save Hindutva leader Milind Ekbote. He added that owing to the Bhima-Koregaon violence and riots which took place in Saswad, Pune police were planning to charge him under MCOCA but Pawar did not let this happen.
Ambedkar also took a dig at Pawar saying that if he will say anything more, Pawar will have to hide his face. He added that Pawar is getting old and he should rest.
