Asaduddin Owaisi not permitted to conduct a rally in BKC

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President, Asaduddin Owaisi, recently sought permission to conduct a rally in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). However, the permission was denied on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, by Mumbai police. 

Information regarding the same was shared by Mumbai police and the statement read, "AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has not been permitted to hold a rally at BKC in Mumbai on November 27. The permission was not granted in wake of COVID-19, ban on public gatherings at MMRDA ground and recent violence in some districts of the state." 

As per reports, the gathering was planned on November 27, 2021, at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) ground where Owaisi, his brother Akbar Owaisi, MP and Maharashtra president Imtiaz Jaleel were expected to address the crowd.

Owaisi had also shared his thought post central government announced the decision to repeal the farm laws. Sharing more on November 23, 2021, he demanded the government to also withdraw the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), failing which, the party would protest, he warned.
