Goregaon – Shiv Sena’s castle in Goregaon has been toppled by the rival Bharatiya Janta Party. BJP won 5 out of 8 seats in P/South ward. Sena candidates who were victorious includes Swapnil Tembvalkar from ward number – 51, Rekha Ramvanshi from ward number – 53, Sadhna Mane from ward number – 54.

BJP party workers started celebrating and started shouting slogans mimicking Sena, ‘Goregaon kunacha, Bharatiya Janta Particha’ (Who own the Goregaon? BJP owns the Goregaon). Sena’s five-year long supremacy in the ward has been concluded with this emphatic win.
