After threatening agitation over receiving no salary for the month of April, 20,000 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) employees on Wednesday received the complete amount in their bank accounts.

Several employees asserted that they were on election duty in the month of April while some had claimed that there were glitches in the newly introduced biometric system. The salaries were deducted from the employees belonging to Class IV to high-ranking officials.

The affected workers accused the concerned BMC department of negligence. The establishment department of the municipal corporation was expected to take care of the attendance of the employees deployed for election duty.
