Maharashtra Assembly Elections were held on October 21 and the results will be declared on October 24th. Ahead of the results, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has gone to Kedarnath temple to seek the blessings of almighty. He is visiting the shrine along with his wife Amruta Fadnavis

It is noteworthy that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had visited Kedarnath ahead of the Lok Sabha election results. His pictures of meditating in the caves had gone viral. It had started a trend of sorts with people flocking to the same place. A special online package was announced for people wanting to follow his footsteps, where they could pay Rs 1,500 online to book a slot, undergo medical tests at Guptkashi and Kedarnath and stay alone to meditate in the cave for 24 hours like the Prime Minister. After the online booking went live, it was sold out for the next 10 days in a matter of minutes.

Devendra Fadnavis is BJP's chief minister candidate for Maharashtra. If he comes to power, he will be serving as chief minister for the second term. According to exit poll, BJP can get 109 to 124 seats and claim that Fadnavis will be coming back to power. If he does manage to do so, he will be breaking a 47 year-old record.
