Based on the reports, we have got to know that Congress spokesman and general secretary Mahadev Shelar committed suicide by hanging himself.
He tried to commit suicide in the afternoon at his resident in Mulund and was later admitted to the Fortis Hospital for treatment. Police reached the spot for interrogation and declared him dead. The body has been to postmortem at Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. The reason for Shelar's suicide is not confirmed.
The highly literate Mahadev Shelar was a lawyer, known for his calm nature. He stood by Congress and defended his party when the opposition accused Congress of poor performance and other political agenda.
