Malad - The city Congress unit received another jolt recently as one of the party corporators, Parminder Bhamra, and some other office-bearers from Malad West joined the BJP. After Bhamra, Congress party’s ward no. 47 block president Narendra Vora, Chetty community’s office-bearers Arokya Swami Chetty and Robert Raja also joined the saffron party. With Bhamra’s entry in the BJP, the party is likely to be benefited with Punjabi community votes. As per reports, Bhamra had sought ticket for his wife as his ward has been reserved for women’s category.
