Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday took a sharp dig at Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, saying, “He claimed he would explode a hydrogen bomb, which scared the entire country. But he couldn’t even light a simple cracker. They set up a fake bar; they are liars in the inn.”
Rahul Gandhi once again raised allegations of vote rigging on Thursday, this time citing the Maharashtra elections. The Election Commission has already responded to his claims.
Reacting to Gandhi’s remarks, Fadnavis accused him of using the "Goebbels technique" — repeating lies in the hope they become truth. “The Central Election Commission has issued several notices to him. Yet, neither before the Commission nor in court has he submitted any evidence. I commend his courage, he lies to the media every time,” Fadnavis said sarcastically. “I’ve never seen a leader like him,” he added.
Fadnavis also said that people do not trust Rahul Gandhi. “If he truly engages with the public, he might win elections someday. But if he continues lying, the results will never be in his favor,” he remarked.
He further accused Gandhi of insulting constitutional institutions like the Election Commission and the courts. “He hasn’t even grasped the soul of the country. He thinks he can win Bihar by lying. But the people of Bihar stand firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Fadnavis stated confidently.
