It has been seven months since the six Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) corporators joined Shiv Sena, and today the Konkan Commissioner called them for hearing, keeping the movement in mind.

The lawyers of both the parties – Shiv Sena and MNS - were present for the hearing but it was postponed as the commissioner was on leave. Further, Konkan commissioner Jagdish Patil has been absent for six consecutive days.

The team of six corporators - Harshla More, Datta Narwankar, Archana Bhalerao, Parmeshwar Kadam, Ashwini Mattekar, led by Dilip Lande - moved to Shiv Sena, for better prospects. Earlier, MNS had written to the Konkan Commissioner to stop the registration of the rebel corporators. The response from the commissioner was expected in three months but Patil’s absenteeism has now delayed the same. The continuous absenteeism questions Patil's role in the office.

MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said that the Konkan Commissioner has become the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' puppet and he doesn’t comply with the high court’s rules.
